The Government of Uzbekistan and Gazprom EP International B.V. have signed a Production Sharing Agreement (PSA) in relation to the Dzhel deposit, the Podrobno.uz correspondent reports.

The document was signed at the first Forum of interregional cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Russian Federation.

The term of the Production Sharing Agreement is 25 years. Within the framework of the document, it is planned to create new jobs, further geological study of deposits in the Ustyurt region, develop technologies based on the best world practices in the oil and gas industry, exchange best practices, train and train specialists.

Gazprom EP International B.V. implements a large-scale exploration program in Uzbekistan. The volume of investments already invested in the project amounted to about $ 400 million. As a result, on June 22, 2009, the Jel gas condensate field was discovered at the Shakhpakhtiinsky block. P

JSC Gazprom, having the exclusive right enshrined in the Agreement of January 25, 2006, entered into negotiations with Uzbekistan on the development of the new Dzhel field under the terms of the Production Sharing Agreement (PSA).

According to preliminary estimates, the field’s reserves are 6.4 billion cubic meters of gas and 76 thousand tons of gas condensate.
