A meeting was held at VIS Group headquarters between Chairman of the Board of Directors Igor Snegurov and member of the Board of Directors Sergey Romashov with representatives of one of the world's largest environmental management companies - Urbaser. The Spanish delegation was led by CEO Jose Pinol.
The meeting participants discussed promising areas of cooperation in the field of solid municipal waste (MSW) management, recycling and waste disposal. The Urbaser delegation familiarized itself with VIS Group’s projects in this industry. In particular, they examined the implementation of projects in the Novosibirsk region, where a company that’s a part of the Group is the only regional operator for the solid waste treatment, as well as a concessionaire in the creation of waste sorting complexes.
Urbaser has significant experience among international environmental companies and invests in quality-structured projects around the world. Following the meeting, representatives of the Spanish company expressed great interest in participating in the projects of the Russian holding and agreed to work out in more detail the possibilities for collaboration.
Urbaser operates in 22 countries and is one of the international leaders in waste management. The company has more than 160 subsidiaries with over 40,000 employees. They are engaged in sanitary cleaning in 880 different cities and municipalities of the world, manage green areas. Urbaser recycles over 23 million tons of municipal waste per year and maintains cleanliness on over 45,000 km of streets around the world.
