"Any developers, startups, entrepreneurs will be able to create any services based on the blockchain: digital passports, smart contracts for loans, insurance, supply chain management, quality assurance."
The national Tunisian blockchain network is based on the latest technological developments of the Universa Blockchain and is open in Tunisia both for end users and for future integrations with a wider and wider range of public services and business processes. The next key points of the project are planned to launch a national DNS service on top of the blockchain, a decentralized identification system, blockchain web services and some other services; this is expected approximately between September 2020 and January 2021.

In practical terms, this makes Tunisia the first country to have a national blockchain service, which expands the definitions of absolute Internet decentralization and opens up new opportunities for supporting e-government mechanisms and private services that were not available before.

Earlier in 2018, the Tunisian Internet Agency (ATI) has already entered into a 10-year renewable strategic partnership to provide hosting services for the platform and ensure its further development.
